Face it, it’s easy to take team and individual pictures, right? I mean, with today’s technology, you photograph green screen, extract, and place an individual on a cool background, send to Walmart for pictures, all on an iPhone…. well, yes but it’s going to look terrible, and parents are not going to be happy. (True story, we heard about just the very thing a few weeks ago).

Join John and Cindy La Barge as they show that by incorporating portrait lighting, has brought a more solid and refined look to their team and individual sports photography work with no additional time sacrificed. They will cover lighting setups for indoor and outdoor situations; their workflow; equipment used.

Kansas Professional Photographers Association is proud to offer you a class in which you will be awarded 1- PPA Merit for your attendance.

We will also touch on our sports schedule senior posters for high school sports. One poster session can create opportunities to add on banners, big heads, and yard signs to increase your revenue opportunity.

And finally, we will share a relatively new concept to replace the volume side of event photography with their Grit and Glory portrait sessions for wrestling and gymnastics events. Proving that old saying of “working smarter, not harder” can really come true!

Beginning in 2001, John and Cindy opened their studio, J&C Imaging. What started as primarily sports teams, event, and commercial photography, quickly expanded to include families and seniors. Both are past president of the Kansas Professional Photographers Association. Both have served as PPA councilors of Kansas and are current ASP members. Their studio is located in historic downtown Manhattan, KS.
